According to the production performance of Rubber Belts in January to September statistics from Japan Rubber Manufacturers Association, the production output are 22,129 tons , reduced by 4% compare with same period in previous year. It was concerned that although domestic demand increased by 13% to 16,179 tons in same time previous year, exports fell down by 32% to 5,950 tons. September monthly basis was shifted to positive for the first time in 8 months.
Conveyor-Belts reduced by 15% to 12,532 tons by variety. Exports reduced by 38% to 4,623 tons against domestic demand increased by 10% to 7,909 tons, compare with same period in previous year.
Although domestic demand were strong for steel and coal sectors to main customers, export indicates to remain of depression for producing country of coals mainly in Australia.
Transmission Belts increased by 14% to 9,597 tons. Domestic demand increased by 16% to 8,270 tons, export also increased by 3% to 1,327 tons and demands grew both domestic and overseas.
In the breakdown, Toothed Belts were flat 1507 tones, Vee Belts increased by 19% to 7,395 and other Belts’ increased by 2% to 695 tons, compare with same period in previous year.
Automobile produce to main demander was below 3 consecutive months since July compared with the same month in the previous year, machine tool maintained satisfactory for amount of receive orders in January to September increased by 35.7% compare with the same period in the previous year, and covered depression of automobiles.
Resin Belts were produced 773,081 square meters reducing 4% compare with the same period in the previous year. PVC reduced by 9% to 140,920 square meters, polyurethane reduced by 1% to 533,074 square meters and others reduced by 10% to 99,087 square meters by variety, compare with the same period in the previous year.
In September monthly basis，Rubber Belts were produced 2,737tons increasing 2% compare with the same month of the precious year, positive for the first time in 8 months. Domestic demand increased by 8% to 1,945tons, exports reduced by 12% to 791 tons but it shrank reduction range to 41% compared with previous month compare with the same month in the previous year.
Conveyor-Belts increased by 2% by variety compare with the same month in the previous year. Domestic demand increased by 11% compare with the same month in the previous year, improved since previous month became previous year cracking for the first time in 12 months. Exports reduced by 9% compare with the same month in the previous year, have been below previous year performance 13 consecutive months but have been recovery trend from sharp losses of previous month.
Transmission Belts increased by 2% to 1,149tons, increased 13 months consecutive. Domestic demand increased by 6% but exports reduced by 22% in the same month in the precious year, expanded reduction range compare with previous month.
Resin Belts reduced by 12% to 84,889 square meters compare with the same period in the previous year. PVC reduced by 17% to 17,893 tons, polyurethane reduced by 4% to 58,709 square meters and others reduced by 39% to 8,287 square meters by variety, compare with the same period in the previous year, depression has continued.
